Well Here it is Folks ! For those very serious Base Ball Collectors of the finer things in Life, We offer this truly, RARE & MAGNIFICENT Nearly Pristine and Complete Draper & Maynard ( D&M) Base Ball complete with Original Box and Band & Original Tissue Wrap inside. This Ball is a D&M Proffesionall League Base Ball #168, Horsehide cover, cork & rubber center, 5oz. 9in. with the Typical Blue & Red Stitching and The Lucky Dog Trademark c.1910-1920's. This Ball is un-used and is in a near Pristine state with no signs of wear and stills retains it's Original White color / just slightly toned from almost 100 years in a box. All the stitches are bright & bold as well as all the trademarks and Logos' as well as lettering and stampings. The only one down-side that we can see is a slight smudge on the black ink on the G in "Athletic Goods" Word and really is not worth the mentioning. This is Probably one of the nicest Base Balls of this Era we have ever had in our collection of over 40 years and has been kept in a cool ,dry, cedar closet for all these years. The Original Tissue Wrap is still fully intact as well as the Matching Box which still retains all it's flaps and believe it or not The Original Paper Seal Band is still on the box as well. The box does show some signs of wear though, such as minor creasing, but is fully intact and shows no rips or tears. This Base Ball is Truly of Museum Quality in our Opion. This Base Ball would Truly be a conversation Piece and a Trophy to prize, and as you already know these come along only once in a blue moon. A very reasonable reserve has been set for this Gem or if you like Buy-it-Now. Feel free to ask questions ,but not the reserve. Don't pass this one up if you can afford it !!
